Is there anything more soothing than the sound of moving water? In Vemdalen you can experience both rushing rapids and spectacular waterfalls - perfect destinations for a hiking trip in the mountains. Whether you're looking for a short walk or a longer hike, there are waterfalls for every adventurer.
Fallmoranfallen - Double falls in a fairytale setting
One of the coziest hikes in Vemdalen is to Fallmoranfallen, where two smaller waterfalls cascade down into the lush Röjdalen valley. Here you can sit down at the barbecue area or take a dip in the lushly surrounded lagoon.
Choose from three different walking tours:
From Storhogna Högfjällshotell via Samevistet and Karl XI:s väg (7.5 km).
From Vemdalsskalet via Jaktstugan - a slightly more challenging hike (11 km).
From Ripfjället cabin area - a shorter hike of 4 km.
Start: Vemdalsskalet, Storhogna or Ripfjället.
Fettjeåfallet - Klövsjö's pride and joy and our most spectacular waterfall
With a drop of over 60 meters, Fettjeåfallet is one of the most impressive waterfalls in the mountains. Here you are met by a dramatic spectacle as the water masses are thrown down towards the wind shelter and barbecue area, straight into the deep lagoon. Follow the path along Fettjeån, after the road you cross a couple of bridges over the river and the rougher parts are beautifully paved, a solid work done by Sherpas in recent years.
