Sparkling white corduroy, the wind biting your cheeks, hot chocolate with whipped cream waiting for you inside in the warmth. Vemdalen's three ski areas offer everything you could wish for in a wonderful vacation in the mountains.

In Vemdalen, SkiStar operates the three downhill skiing resorts: Vemdalsskalet, Björnrike Klövsjö/Storhogna. With the SkiPass lift pass, you get access to downhill skiing in all three areas, with a total of 58 slopes and 42 lifts of varying degrees of difficulty.

Buying a lift pass – SkiPass

You can conveniently pre-book your SkiPass on the SkiStar website or in the SkiStar app before you arrive in Vemdalen. Once you arrive, you can pick up your lift pass from one of the pick-up machines.

If you want to buy a SkiPass on site, you can do so at any of the SkiStar shops in Vemdalen.

Children under six travel free throughout Vemdalen.

Lift opening hours

The ski season often starts early in snow-sure Vemdalen. SkiStar begins opening its facilities as early as the end of November, or when snow conditions allow. The slopes then remain open until April.

Snow depth and webcams

Vemdalen is guaranteed to have snow, thanks to two factors. The first is that Vemdalen, like the whole of Härjedalen, is located high above sea level. For example, Vemdalsskalet is 710 meters above sea level. The other factor that plays a major role is that Härjedalen has an inland climate, which means more stable weather that is not as susceptible to sudden warm spells from the Atlantic.
