Åsarna is a modern facility with outlet shopping, a restaurant, conference facilities, and accommodation, beautifully located in the Jämtland countryside. Its location on the E45 makes the center easily accessible all year round and perfectly situated close to Vemdalen and the area's ski slopes.
The nearest ski area, Klövsjö, is only a 15-minute drive away.Åsarna known for producing world-class cross-country skiers, and there are, of course, well-groomed cross-country trails in a 60-kilometer trail system around the house. There are also many miles of groomed snowmobile trails adjacent to Åsarna that take you all the way up to the mountains.
In summer, there are excellent MTB trails and well-marked running and hiking trails. Along the Ljungan River runs the beautiful Kärleksstigen (Love Trail) with stone slabs to rest on, and at the end is the beautiful old stone arch bridge. The rapids of the Ljungan attract many fishermen. It is about a 15-minute drive to Klövsjö's 18-hole golf course and 10 minutes in the other direction is Svenstavik, which has a liquor store, Storsjöodjurscenter, go-karting, and a riding school. There is, of course, much more to explore in the surrounding area, such as the Hoverberg Nature Reserve and Hoverberg Cave.
Outlet store
Here you will find a well-stocked 1,000 m2 outlet store where you can find outdoor clothing, children's, women's and men's clothing, shoes, sports and leisure items at outlet prices. The outdoor department has grown considerably, as has the cross-country skiing department, where you will find cross-country skiing equipment at Sweden's leading prices.
Restaurant
Breakfast buffet is available from 8:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. Lunch buffet is served from 10:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and dinner buffet from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Butter, bread, salad buffet, drinks, and coffee are included in the buffet. À la carte and pizza are served from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Accommodation
In the cottage village, you can choose to stay in the popular cottage apartments with beautiful views of the Ljungan River. Here you have your own shower, toilet, kitchen area (fridge/freezer, stove, microwave, and coffee maker) in the apartment and 2-4 beds. There is also a 4-bed cottage and a 6-bed cottage.
Or you can choose a simpler option and check in at the hostel! Here you can rent your own 2-bed room, while showers and toilets are located in the hallway. Parking is available directly outside.
The campsite has 16 pitches with electricity. The service building has showers and toilets, as well as a dishwashing room with hotplates. Adjacent to the cottage village, there is also the opportunity to take a dip in Ljungan!
