Vemdalens IF is an active sports club in Vemdalen with five sections: alpine skiing, cycling, gymnastics, soccer, and cross-country skiing. The club offers training and competitions for children, young people, and adults in all disciplines.
The alpine section organizes skiing, competitions, and training on the slopes. The cycling section is responsible for mountain biking and road cycling during the summer months. The gymnastics section offers children's and youth groups the joy of movement and learning. The soccer section runs game days, training sessions, and tournaments. The cross-country section organizes ski training, trail activities, and competitions during the winter.
The club also runs a disc golf course at Lövås. The course was built in 2022 as a 9-hole course and was expanded to 12 holes in 2024. The course starts at the main building and then follows the cross-country and cycling trails. Discs are available for hire and scorecards can be found via this link. Children and young people up to the age of 15 play for free, while others pay a small fee.
Vemdalens IF has strong local roots with members throughout the Vemdalen area. The club contributes to health, community, and popular movements by giving many people the opportunity to participate in sports year-round.
As part of the broad range of associations in Vemdalen and as a partner in the destination company, Vemdalens IF contributes to strengthening both the destination's appeal and community life.
