SkiStar Winter Games Vemdalen is organized by Vemdalens IF and Klövsjö Alpina together with SkiStar in Klövsjö and Björnrike. It is Sweden's largest alpine youth competition, where children and young people compete in slalom and giant slalom. The arena is built to resemble a World Cup competition with big-screen TV, live broadcasts, and a partner village.
The competition attracts nearly seven hundred skiers and over seventy alpine clubs from across the country, and each year it provides a wonderful kickoff to the competition season. It is a true celebration that is enjoyable to experience both in person and through the live broadcast.
