Easter Program 2026 – Activities and Events

During spring break, the entire Vemdalen area is gearing up with a host of exciting activities for all ages.

The program is updated on an ongoing basis.

Every day

10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Easter Adventure – Scavenger Hunt. 60 SEK per child; pick up your answer sheet at the Vemdalsskalet Tourist Information Office. Vemdalsskalet.

9:00 AM–4:00 PMKids’ Activities with Valle–Almost every day, there are kids’ activities with Valle throughout the Vemdalen ski areas. He loves spending time with people of all ages, so come join him for a few runs down the slopes. Read here to find out when and where you can meet Valle. Friday, March 27

Steilhang Race by EQPE. Swedish Championship steep slope race featuring some of the country’s best skiers. Come cheer on the skiers in person. Klövsjö Ski Area.

11:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Early Spring Market at Hotel Klövsjöfjäll. Enjoy local products, crafts, and delicious food in a stunning mountain setting. Klövsjö Ski Area.

Saturday, March 28

9:00 AM Destination Vemdalen’s Easter Egg Hunt, Björnrike – Find the hidden Easter egg somewhere in Björnrike. The clue will be posted at 9:00 a.m. on the Instagram account @destinationvemdalen.

10:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Plupp’s Easter Crafts for children in Kalle’s basement, Storhogna Högfjällshotell & Spa.

3:00 PM Duck Race in the Winter Garden, Storhogna – Buy your duck at the front desk and join the race. 30 SEK per duck. Last registration at 2:50 PM. Storhogna Högfjällshotell & Spa.

6:00 PM Vemdalsbio is showing *Super Mario Galaxy* – Mario ventures into space to explore cosmic worlds far beyond the Mushroom Kingdom. For ages 7 and up. Learn more and buy tickets at vemdalsbio.com

10:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. The grills will be lit up at the wind shelters near Plupp’s playground, Storhogna – Buy hot dog and marshmallow packs from KorvEtt restaurant down by Kalles Backe. Storhogna Högfjällshotell & Spa.

10:00 AM–5:00 PM Vemdalia – Möbelmästarna Vemdalen – Art exhibition featuring Isa Dübel /Hede and an Easter quiz with great prizes from the village shops. Lots of bargains, available for purchase directly from the display in both stores. Chicken stir-fry available for purchase outdoors.

10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Härjedalspizza is hosting Sloof, who will be selling their popular Dutch cheeses outside the pizzeria.

11:00 AM–6:00PM Watch silver jewelry being handcrafted at Made in Fjällen – Visit the workshop in the heart of Vemdalen and see how jewelry is shaped by hand. The farm shop offers unique, nature-inspired jewelry crafted on-site.

11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Easter Market in Vemdalen Village – Welcome to a day filled with shopping, local products, special offers, and activities throughout the village.

11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. School class grilling hamburgers – Enjoy freshly grilled hamburgers during the market day. Vemdalen village

3:00 PM Easter Parade in Vemdalen – Meet at Vemdalen School for a group walk to Härjedalspizza and Glassbanken. Feel free to come in costume. Vemdalen village.

6:00 PM Snow Shoveling Contest – Shovel up hidden balls in the snow for a chance to win great prizes. Vemdalen village.

Good Friday, April 3

9:00 a.m. Destination Vemdalen Easter Egg Hunt, Klövsjö– Find the hidden Easter egg somewhere in Klövsjö. The clue will be posted at 9:00 a.m. on the @destinationvemdalen Instagram account.

9:00 AM–4:00 PM Ski a Mile, Win a Car -A major cross-country skiing competition for the whole family, where all participants have a chance to win a Volkswagen T-Roc. First start at 11:00 a.m. Awards ceremony at 3:00 p.m. Storhogna.

Easter Sunday, April 5

9:00 a.m. Destination Vemdalen Easter Egg Hunt – Vemdalen Village – Find the hidden Easter egg somewhere in Vemdalen Village. The clue will be posted at 9:00 a.m. on the @destinationvemdalen Instagram account.

3:00–4:00 p.m. Paint Easter eggs and Easter drawings in Lillhogna, which will then be hung on the Easter tree in the Winter Garden. Storhogna Högfjällshotell & Spa.

Tuesday, April 7

9:30 a.m. – Björnrikestörten (Lower Downhill Race) The Björnrikestörten is a downhill race that’s open to everyone! Take your chance to win great raffle prizes, which will be drawn among all participants, regardless of race category.

2:00 PM Children’s Little Vasalopp – Blueberry soup and prizes await at the finish line. Price: 50 SEK. Register at the reception desk at Storhogna Högfjällshotell and meet outside Fjällvistet.

2:00 PM – BJR Slopestyle Competition at SkiStar Snowpark (Gråhogna, Björnrike) – Registration at the Gråhogna lift in Björnrike 1:00 PM.

Saturday, April 11

10:00 – Costume Challenge (Bamse, Björnvallen) – Come in costume and try to complete two runs in as close to the same time as possible. Everyone is welcome to participate! Prize for best costume. Sign up at the start.

12:30 – Junior Pond Race (Mittbacken, Björnrike) – A popular version of the Pond Race, but for our younger skiers. All children, of all ages, are welcome to join in and try to cross our mini-pond without getting wet. Registration takes place in Björnidet’s warming hut, 9:00–10:00 a.m.

2:00 PM The Pond Race, Björnrike – Watch as the staff hurtle down the hill in full costume and take the first dip of the year in the Dammracet at Björnidets pond. A big show and lots of laughs guaranteed!
