A sleigh ride up to Jaktstugan is one of Vemdalen's most beloved winter experiences. Våffelstugan is located on Ripfjället, about three kilometers from Vemdalsskalet, and although you can get there by ski or snowmobile, there is something special about traveling up by sleigh. It is an atmospheric adventure where the journey itself is half the fun, and the waffle at Jaktstugan is the perfect ending.
You can ride inside the sled or behind it on a toboggan, or alternatively follow behind on skis. Regardless of how you get there, this is a winter experience that should be enjoyed at least once every season. When the sled reaches the edge of the mountain, the landscape opens up and a wonderful mountain experience awaits at the top – and of course your dog is also welcome to join you during the coffee break.
It is perfectly possible to interpret on both cross-country skis and slalom skis. For those who interpret with slalom equipment, there is an easy descent back to Hildings backe, which makes it easy to glide straight back into the ski system once the waffles have been eaten and your cheeks have acquired their rosy winter glow.

Adults (over 15 years) single ticket SEK 120 or return ticket + SEK 60 (SEK 180).
Children (3-14 years) single ticket SEK 60 or return ticket + SEK 30 (SEK 90).

Timetable for ferries
The shuttles run every half hour and on the hour between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. from the trail center at Vemdalsskalet. During peak season, the shuttles run more frequently as needed. If you have any questions, please call the shuttle service at070-5687113.
