Taking the bus to Vemdalen is a convenient and affordable way to travel. Sit back, relax, and you'll be there in no time!

Buses between Stockholm and Vemdalen, with several stops along the way, run all year round. During the low season, the bus stops in Vemdalen village, while some trips during the high season go to Vemdalsskalet.

In Vemdalen village, there is a waiting room in the GT building, which is open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.


The local taxi company offers transfers for both small and large groups throughout the Vemdalen destination. Transfers must be booked two to twelve hours before departure, depending on what time you want to be picked up.


Länstrafiken Jämtland buses operate throughout the region. The following buses operate within the Vemdalen destination:

Bus number 164 betweenÖstersund and Funäsdalen, which includes Svenstavik, Åsarna, Klövsjö, Klövsjö ski area, Storhogna, Vemdalsskalet, Vemdalen village, Hede, and onward to Funäsdalen and back.

Bus number 163 betweenÖstersund and Rätan, which includes Svenstavik and Åsarna.

Bus number 631between Sveg and Funäsdalen, which includes Vemhån, Björnrike, Vemdalen village, and Hede.
