The road to Varggransstugan is very uphill, but you can take several breaks along the way. The rest hut Björnrikestugan on the way up to Varggransstugan is south-facing and overlooks Högfjället. It is a perfect stop to enjoy your packed lunch. Further up, you pass over Varggranstjärnen, whose mountain sides are usually filled with sun pits. Take the opportunity to take a break in a sun pit.

Park at the trail center in Björnrike follow the trail towards Björnrikestugan. The last part of the trail up to Björnrikestugan is a little steeper. Take a break at the cabin, where you can enjoy a fantastic view of Högfjället. The trail then continues up the bare mountain towards Varggranstjärnen and Varggransstugan. Take the same route back to Björnrike.
