Since 1966, snowmobiles have been transporting visitors quickly and safely up the mountain in Vemdalen. These agile snow-going tracked vehicles are an excellent means of transport for families with children, people with reduced mobility, and anyone who wants to rest their legs after a long day on the slopes.

The sleigh rides depart from several locations in the Vemdalen destination. Depending on how many people are riding the snow sleigh, you can ride inside the sleigh, behind it on a sled, or behind it on skis.

Ice fishing - a winter activity for the whole family

Here you will find easily accessible lakes and ponds nestled in forests and mountain landscapes – perfect for discovering the charm of ice fishing. Under the ice, char, trout, whitefish, and perch await, making for an attractive catch for both beginners and experienced anglers.

Put & Take - family-friendly winter fishing with a good chance of catching fish

Vemdalen has a dozen Put & Take waters where fish are regularly stocked. Special rules apply to fishing times here – always check with fishing license sellers or online via iFiske. Many of these waters are easy to reach even in winter, which you can read more about here.
